End of the Year Update ...

The First Annual North East North Carolina MX Shootout was a good success seeing we got all that rain. I want to thank everybody who helped make the event happen, and those riders that came, look forward to next years race. Check the 2009 race schedule. [18 Aug 08] Thank You to friends at Creswell from Johnny, John and Shelia Wasco.

Johnny Wasco, featured rider, 09 - took a pretty bad spill last Saturday during practice at Creswell.  Just  back from Loretta Lynn's preparing for A Class he hit a kicker and ended up with bike on his back.  Needless to say, had to be taken to Chowan Hospital in Edenton and later flown to Greenville, NC.

He is scheduled for surgery Tuesday, August 18, as he has broken his left collarbone and will also have pin removed from right collarbone from previous surgery. Johnny has a broken fibula in his right leg which we pray will heal quickly with just bracing.

His other injuries have healed themselves and with the exception of his recovery from surgery, we pray he will be back for Shootout in Creswell November. Another year older as he will turn 18 on Wednesday 8/20. 

We do want to thank Eric for taking time and care to get Johnny to hospital and all else you did to make him comfortable .  Also, to Tyler Coppersmith and Kiel Fermeil for all they did for us.  Anthony (Gray) Fermeil , thanks to you for getting his truck, bikes and other necessities back to Virginia Beach.  If there were others, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  Thank God for this MX Family.

[14 Jul 08]  Creswell Motocross Park will be closed for 3-4 weeks starting 15 July 08.  We are building the supercross track and making changes to the big track.  Sorry for the inconvenience but we are confident you will enjoy the changes!  Check back for opening dates and pictures.

[28 Apr 08]  We at Creswell Motocross Park understand that with the price of gas rising that riding motocross is becoming a little hard to afford and that we appreciate all who come and practice at CMX.  To try and keep the sport a little more affordable we will be lowering our gate fees to fifteen dollars for adults and ten dollars for kids effective immediately.

[12 Mar 08]  Welcome to Creswell Motocross Park's new site!!  2008 is going to be an amazing year for CMX.  We just received our AMA Sanctioning so we will be putting out a race schedule in the very near future.
